Mark Auger

Shortly after graduating Syracuse University Mark got his first job in the mortgage industry as a residential loan officer with Southern Mortgage in Marietta, GA in 1998.  His focus with Southern Mortgage was on Government backed mortgages including both FHA and VA loans. He moved from there to Great Eastern Mortgage and quickly achieved top producer status while gaining experience in conventional mortgage lending.  Having found success as a loan officer Mark decided he could serve clients more efficiently by setting up his own mortgage company. In 2000 he founded 1st Georgia Mortgage Funding, INC in historic Roswell, GA.  Within 3 years 1st Georgia grew to 60 employees and was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the top FHA Mortgage Brokerage in the State of Georgia.  The company averaged over 300 closings per month and Mark handled loan officer training, Marketing and client relations.

Mark took 4 years off from Mortgage Lending to pursue a lifelong dream to sing Opera professionally in New York and in various countries in Europe.  He won the Metropolitan Opera National Competition as finalist for the southeastern United States and was heard as a soloist in Paris, Vienna, New York and the Vatican.  Mark continues to enjoy singing various genres in addition to Opera. He also appeared with Mortgage Brother Michael on 3 episodes of the Family Feud with Steve Harvey.

In 2008 Mark was hired as National Manager of Acceptance Capital Mortgage corporation.  He ran a local branch in Atlanta Georgia and managed originations in Florida, Texas and California as well.  He is extremely proud to represent the Auger family as half of the Mortgage Brothers with his Brother, Michael and is looking forward to building more lifelong relationships while helping local folks realize the goal of home ownership and the dream of financial freedom.

Mike Auger

Michael graduated from Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts with a degree in business management. He started his career in mortgage finance 25 years ago as a branch manager for a national finance company. Mike was the first Mortgage Brother to relocate to Georgia where he led the Conyers, GA Branch to award-winning production and nationwide recognition. In 1999, Michael founded Superior Lending in Roswell Georgia. At Superior Lending, Michael led a staff of over 50 loan officers, a processing team and a commercial mortgage team. Michael’s mentorship to his staff was legendary. A line would frequently form at his office door of employees seeking his guidance and wisdom. Michael’s selfless brand of leadership helped guide Superior Lending, Inc. from fledgling start-up to one of the top operations of its kind in the state. Headquartered just a couple of miles away from Mark’s company in Roswell, GA the two brothers were pillars of Georgia mortgage lending at the beginning of the century-long before they became the Mortgage Brothers.

Michael has personally originated and closed thousands of mortgage loans so when you work with him you are able to draw upon his years of experience and iron-clad advice. Michael truly cares about his clients and this shows in the long-term relationships he has developed over the years. His attention to detail, heartfelt guidance and accountability will give you the assurance you need when financing your home.

In addition to his experience in mortgage lending, Mike also moonlights as a Muay Thai boxing instructor. He is the former owner of Total Boxing in Roswell, GA where he honed his craft in the squared circle and taught boxers of all ages. His partner and sensei, Joe Powers recently passed away. Surprisingly, Joe was also a mortgage originator. Despite cancer and the need for an oxygen tank, Joe would show up to the gym daily to train and teach. His ‘Never Give Up’ spirit and dedication to helping others continue to inspire the Mortgage Brothers today.

Michael provides steady rhythm and vocals for local band Acoustical Left. Acoustical left donates all of their tips to the wounded warrior project and their goal is to donate over $10,000.00 by the end of this year. Each summer Michael migrates to Petersburg, Alaska to fish with family and friends and to serve the mortgage needs of clients in Alaska through Mortgage Brothers.
